The Mickey occurrence is located about 452 metres northeast of the AL (Thesis II/III) past producer (094E 091) approximately 295 kilometres north of Smithers.

The Adoogacho and Metsantan members of the Lower Jurassic Toodoggone Formation (Hazelton Group) underlie the AL property. The Adoogacho Member consists of trachydacite ash-flow tuff with lenses of lapilli tuff, rare marlstone, and conglomerate near the base. The Metsantan Member is composed mainly of trachyandesite (latite) flows with lenses of lapilli tuff, and lahar; minor volcanic sandstone and conglomerate (Bulletin 86). The Metsantan Member, in part, directly overlies the basal Adoogacho Member and is also in fault contact with it. The Mickey zone is underlain by andesitic volcanic rock of the Toodoggone Formation.

In 2006, mapping and prospecting work carried out by Christopher James Gold Corp. outlined a new zone of interest named the Mickey zone centred about 589 metres north of Thesis II (094E 274) and about 1.2 kilometres south-southwest of the Bonanza zone (094E 079). Systematic panel-chip samples were taken on all outcrops and felsenmeer along a North trending corridor about 1500 metres long and 50 to 150 metres wide. High-grade grab samples in this zone assayed up to 80.56 grams per tonne gold (Bowen, 2012). The rock was described as vuggy silica-iron oxide breccia.

In 2007, Christopher James Gold Corp. drilled 1340.8 metres in nine diamond-drill holes on the Mickey zone over a north-south distance of approximately 400 metres on three east-west sections spaced about 200 metres apart. Both vuggy and pervasively silica-altered intercepts contain abundant disseminated pyrite in the 5 to 20 per cent range. The precious metals grades of these zones ranged up to 0.19 gram per tonne gold, 34.3 grams per tonne silver, and up to 0.0732 per cent copper (Assessment Report 30132).

See Bonanza (094E 079) for details of the Ranch (Al) property which contains the Mickey prospect and discusses related mineralization on the property.
